The assessor is the local government official responsible for assessing all real property within a town's boundaries. The value is converted into a property assessment, which is one component in the computation of real property tax bills. The property inventory is available for inspection by appointment.

Grievance Day for Lisbon is the 4th Tuesday of May. This year grievance day is May 24th, 2011 from 4-8 PM at the Lisbon Town Hall.

The assessor also approves and keeps track of property exemptions. Some of the exemptions available are:

Business exemptions

These are some of the licenses that the Town Clerk can help prepare for you.

Dog Licenses- After a dog is 4 months of age is must be licensed according to NYS law and must have proof of current rabies vaccination:

Spayed/Neutered $5.50

Unspayed/Unneutered $13.50

Marriage License - Must be purchased at least 24 hours before marriage and not before 60 days. $40.00

Sporting License - All DEC approved hunting, fishing, and small game licenses can be purchased here.

Birth/Death Registration- Any births or deaths in the Town of Lisbon must be registered with the Town Clerk.

Handicap Parking Permits- Hangers issued with application and signed by a doctor.

Taxes- Town taxes are payable through the town clerk's office. School taxes can be paid at Lisbon Central School.
