The Lisbon Depot Museum

The Lisbon Depot Museum is housed in the old Rutland Railroad Station in Lisbon proper in the Town of Lisbon in St. Lawrence County in New York. It is dedicated to preserving the agricultural, railroad, and social history of Lisbon.

The Lisbon Depot Museum is now closed for the winter season. There is no admission charge, but donations are welcome.

In June, the museum is open by appointment. Groups or families desiring tours are urged to phone Nancy Lafaver at 393-4154 or via e-mail nlafaver@hotmail.com

In July, regular hours are Wednesdays from 1 to 3 p.m. and Fridays from 6 to 8 p.m.

In August, regular hours are Wednesdays from 1 to 3 p.m. and Saturdays from 2 to 4 p.m. with extended times during homecoming - see Homecoming schedule.

In September/October, hours will again be by appointment weather permitting.

The museum was featured in Railpace Magazine, a color magazine of northeast railroading.

As usual, the museum will feature exhibits on the social, agricultural, and railway history of Lisbon.
