TOWN BOARD MEETING

November 5, 2008

7:30 AM

Present: Supervisor Don Strader, Councilman C. Joseph Collins, Town Clerk Donna McBath, Councilman Vincent Winters, Highway Superintendent Timothy Dow

Absent: Councilman Roger Shoen, Councilman Tom Schneller

1.    Meeting Called to Order

      Supervisor Don Strader called the meeting to order at 6:00 PM.

2.    Pledge Alliance

3.    Old Business

      A.       Preliminary Budget - It was agreed to table this until November 12, 2008 meeting.

      B.       Bids for Roof Replacement

Supervisor Strader made a motion, seconded by Councilman Collins to hire Wayne Latham to replace all pavilion roofs and Life Guard Building at the Lisbon Beach for $8,000.00.

                                                            Ayes - 3           Nays - 0

      C.       Bids for Wheeler Loader - It was agreed to table this until November 12, 2008 meeting.

      D.       Bids for Surplus Equipment - It was agreed to table this until November 12, 2008 meeting.

4.    New Business

•  Propane Gas quotes for the Beach - It was agreed to table this until the spring when it will be needed.

•  Librarian Appointment - It was decided that the Library Board hires the Librarian, not the Town Board, so the Town Board does not have to appoint her.   Supervisor Strader did state that the Library Board would be hiring Nancy Smith from Lisbon, NY.

•  Library Board Members - Richard Barkley and Betty Smith

Supervisor Strader made a motion, seconded by Councilman Winters to appoint Richard Barkley and Betty Smith to the Library Trustees.

5.       Adjournment

Councilman Collins made a motion, seconded by Councilman Winters to adjourn the meeting at 6:08 PM.                                                                      Ayes - 3           Nays - 0
