BOARD MEETING

MARCH 22, 2007

LISBON TOWN HALL

Present:    Supervisor Roger Watters, Councilman C. Joseph Collins, Town Clerk Donna McBath, Councilman Vincent Winters

Absent:   Highway Superintendent Timothy Dow, Councilman Thomas Schneller, Councilman C. Roger Shoen

Guest: Trish McMahon - Ogdensburg Journal, Mary Lou Robinson - Lisbon, Ernest L. Witkowski - LC School, Marc Montroy - LC School Board Pres., Todd Miller - Lisbon, Susan Pierce - LC School, Gary Madlin - Lisbon, Patrick Green - Lisbon  

           

1.       Meeting Called to Order

Supervisor Roger Watters called the meeting to order at 6:30 PM.

•  Pledge Allegiance

•  Approval of Meeting Minutes for March 14, 2007

Councilman Collins made a motion, and was seconded by Councilman Winters to approve the minutes for March 14, 2007     Ayes - 3     Nays - 0

•  Highway Superintendent Report

Highway Superintendent Tim Dow was absent.

•  Ernie Witkowski - Lisbon Central School            

Spoke at the end of the meeting on the renovation for Lisbon Central School

     

•  Old Business

•  Beach Rates - The board wishes to have the rates remain the same with the exception of campers with exterior refrigerators and second air conditions.   Any additional fees will be posted in the beach office.

•  Acres for building lots - We are in the need for more information to continue with this item.   Councilman Collins will be seeing the Waddington Town Clerk for some of this information.

•  Walkway - A meeting will be held on Monday, March 26, 2007 with Bernier & Carr concerning the walkway.   The Walkway trail committee is asking for any suggestion.

•  Library - Chair Lift - Councilman Shoen was absent from the meeting and they had no information concerning the chair lift.

•  School Board - Voting Machine - The Lisbon Central School is requesting to use one of the towns voting machines for the renovation election and the school budget.   They have received approval from the Board of Election and needs the Lisbon Board's approval.   The board has given their approval.

      Information discussion

Supervisor Watters asked if the board had received the letter from John Suloway, from the New York Power Authority.

Supervisor Watters commented on the letter he received from Code Enforcer Don Strader on more than 2 unlicensed vehicles being in peoples yard.

Supervisor Watters commented on the letters that were received from Lester Martin and Lowell Putney concerning the vegetation land at the river.   Supervisor Watters feels there is no misunderstanding.   Supervisor Watters stated that Mr. Martin is saying the same as the board is saying.

      7. Recognition of guest

            Had no comments for the guest.

8.       Adjournment

Councilman Collins made a motion, and was seconded by Councilman Winters to adjourn the meeting at 6:55 PM for the informational meeting from Ernie Witkowski - Lisbon Central School.       Ayes - 3       Nays - 0
