TOWN OF LISBON SPECIAL BOARD MEETING FEBRUARY 7, 2007LISBON TOWN HALL Present: Supervisor Roger Watters, Councilman Thomas Schneller, Town Clerk Donna McBath, Councilman C. Meeting Called to Order Supervisor Roger Watters called the meeting to order at 6:00 PM. Pledge of Allegiance 3. Old Business A. Sewer RatesSupervisor Watters stated that Tim Burley from Guminiak Assoc. informed him that there is 15 students to 1 household. At the present time for sewer rates: Lisbon Central School $3,125.00/quarter $12,500.00/year United Helpers Castle Ridge $1,155.00/quarter $ 4,620.00/year United Helpers Unit $1,155.00/quarter $ 4,620.00/year Laidlaw $ 385.00/quarter $ 1,540.00/year Fire Department $ 192.50/quarter $ 770.00/year Apartment House (4 family) $ 385.00/quarter $ 1,540.00/year Apartment House (3 family) $ 288.75/quarter $ 1,155.00/year Apartment House (2 family) $ 192.50/quarter $ 770.00/year Each Single Household $ 96.25/quarter $ 385.00/year Discussion was done on how much to raise the sewer rates. Proposed: Lisbon Central School $4,400.00/quarter $17,600.00/year United Helpers Castle Ridge $1,230.00/quarter $ 4,920.00/year United Helpers ICF Unit $1,230.00/quarter $ 4,920.00/year Laidlaw $ 425.00/quarter $ 1,700.00/year Fire Department $ 212.50/quarter $ 850.00/year Apartment House (4 family) $ 425.00/quarter $ 1,700.00/year Apartment House (3 family) $ 318.75/quarter $ 1,275.00/year Apartment House (2 family) $ 212.50/quarter $ 850.00/year Each Single Household $ 106.25/quarter $ 425.00/year Councilman Collins made a motion and was seconded by Councilman Schneller to accept the proposed sewer rate increase. Ayes - 4 Nays - 0 Water Rates - Discussion was done and it was decided to leave the water rates has is. New Business Beach Rates - The 2006 beach rates were handed to all board member and Supervisor Watters asked for them to look at these rates and think about whether these rates need to be raised. It will be discussed on the February 14, 2007 meeting. Assessor Rates - Supervisor Watters asked for a motion for the board to approve a $9,340.00 increase to the Assessor account to be able to pay the new assessor for the month of September through December. Councilman Schneller stated that he prefer to wait until the regular meeting of February 14 to discuss this with Attorney Nash present. 8. Executive Session - No Executive Session 9.
