BOARD MEETING

AUGUST 24, 2006

LISBON TOWN HALL

Present:

Supervisor Roger Watters, Councilman Michael Duprey, Deputy Clerk Eileen Mc Bath, Councilman Thomas Schneller, Councilman C. Roger Shoen, Highway Superintendent Timothy Dow

Absent: Councilman C. Joseph Collins, Town Clerk Donna Mc Bath

  1. Meeting Called to Order

Supervisor Watters called the meeting to order at 6:30 P.M.

  1. Approval of Meeting Minutes of August 9, 2006

The approval of the August 9, 2006 minutes were tabled until the discrepancies on the balance sheets can be corrected in the minutes by Town Clerk Donna McBath.

  1. Old Business
    1. Building For Playground

Supervisor Watters reported that he would like to have the new Building for the Playground ready for spring as all the plans are done.

    1. Damage To New Truck At The Beach

Supervisor Watters reported that a camper from out of state, causing $1,400.00 damage, backed into one of the new trucks.   The Town has received a check for $854.28 from New York Municipal Insurance Reciprocal the Town's Insurance Company.   We have a $500.00 deductible.   NYMIR will go after the camper's insurance company to reimburse the town.

    1. Power Authority Issue

There will be a meeting between the Town Board and the New York Power Authority on August 29, 2006 at 6:00 P. M. at the Town Hall, as the Board has issues to resolve with NYPA.

    1. Lisbon Housing Authority

Councilman Schneller made a motion, and was seconded by Councilman Shoen to appoint Hollis Mc Bath, Term 2005-2010 and Michael Duprey, Term 2006-2011 to the Lisbon Housing Authority Board.             Ayes - 4             Nays - 0

•  Letter from Major's Lawyers

Supervisor Watters read a letter from Steve and Cindy Majors Lawyers; Conboy, Mc Kay, Bachman and Kendall, LLP., regarding the St. Lawrence Valley Sportsman's Club and the Planning Board . Town Board will not pursue action.

Councilman Michael Duprey made a motion and seconded by Councilman Shoen to adjourn the meeting at 7:10 P.M.                                 Ayes - 4           Nays - 0
